Safe, Easy, and Accurate Non-Invasive Prenatal Test Detects Fetus Genetic Abnormalities by 99%

Eone Diagnomics Genome Center (EDGC), a business that develops innovative technology for genome analysis through constant research and development, has gladly announced its safe, easy, and accurate non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) program called NICE® (Non-Invasive Chromosome Examination). NIPT is a method of determining the risk associated with the fetus being born with certain genetic abnormalities.

A spokesperson of EDGC, Shang-Cheol Shin says, “NICE® is a non-invasive prenatal test that detects fetal DNA in maternal plasma for the pregnancy period by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)”.

In other words, NICE® is the brainchild of EDGC that provides a safer, easier, and more accurate option to other prenatal tests. Usually, other prenatal tests are available after mid-pregnancy and their level of accuracy is lower compared to NICE®. Also, diagnostic tests such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling are done via the invasive method and have the risk of miscarriage. For this, many have a cause to feel afraid.

On the other hand, NICE® is a safer option. The test is done using the pregnant woman’s blood without the risk of miscarriage or rupture of the membrane caused by the invasive prenatal test. It has been confirmed to have a high level of accuracy with an over 99% detection rate.

For many parents, knowing the condition of the fetus as soon as possible is is always better than finding out later when it might be too late. Finding out about potential conditions early on allows them to prepare for a special needs baby and make plans to deliver at a facility that can better address their concerns and their baby’s health needs right away.

This is what EDGC hopes to help expectant mothers achieve with their latest innovation NICE®. EDGC diagnoses various diseases over the entire life cycle and provides a clinical solution for precision and personalized medicine. Also, EDGC has acquired international and domestic certificates to provide reliable services to customers.
