Local Grand Rapids non-profit organization brings hope to the Oakdale Neighborhood by allowing residents to come and “shop” nearly $500,000 worth of new products. There’s only one catch, they get to keep their wallets at home. #NFTGIVES is one of the many opportunities offered by Rev. Tupper and the New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation.

The New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation (CDC), a comprehensive, holistic community service and development organization, is set to host the NFTGives, a community-wide philanthropic outreach where neighbors can come and shop for all sorts of new items and leave their money at home!

The NFTGives campaign is a community-wide outreach where community members can receive new clothes, toys, household items, decor, crafting tools and more. They are poised to share approximately $500,000 worth of products right in the heart of the Oakdale Neighborhood.  The outreach will be held on Saturday, June 4th 10-5 EST at the New Faith Temple Church of God in Christ 1701 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49507

Winston Churchill once said “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” Rev Deidric Tupper, Pastor of New Faith Temple Church of God in Christ and CEO of New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation of Grand Rapids Michigan is a serial giver.

Rev. Tupper exemplifies the biblical injunction that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. asked a pertinent question when he queried: “Life’s persistent and most urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?” Rev Tupper has answered these questions by matching his words from the pulpit with actions in the community. Rev. Tupper has been a blessing in the community in which he works. His organization, New Faith Temple Community Development Corporation hosts a free summer camp, free after school tutorial and enrichment program, free community picnic, free fall concert and many other community engagement programs.

Rev. Tupper extols the virtues of humility, diversity, equity and inclusion, so much so that when he’s not preaching on Sunday mornings, you can find him pounding the pavement in the community most other days.

Rev. Deidric Tupper and his lovely wife, Mrs. Natasha Tupper founded the non-profit corporation in December 2010 to improve and facilitate the administration of programs and services in the community. Rev. Deidric & Mrs. Natasha Tupper are graduates of the University of Detroit Mercy, and the non-profit is the realization of their dream to give back to the community.
