Paul Christopher Bailey, also known as P Bailey, is delighted to announce the release of a new single in celebration of Black History Month. The new song titled My Black is Beautiful was created by the talented artist to highlight the pride and beauty of melanated skin, as well as celebrate the fact that Black people are God’s first people from which everyone else emerged.
“For too long we’ve been taught to hate the color of our skin. Many Black brothers and sisters have fallen prey to the false concept of beauty being peddled by the entertainment and advertisement industry. My Black is Beautiful is a reminder that our skin holds the ancestral heritage of the entire human race. We’re God’s first people. Everyone else came after us.”
Described as a “human soul of a man with a 5-octave range” by many who have heard him sing, P Bailey is a multi-talented singer/songwriter originally from the United Kingdom. Often being compared to Ron Isley of the Isley Brother fame, P Bailey got his first taste of musical inspiration while taking part in music class in grade school.
With Motown, Micheal Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Muscle Shoals as early influences, P Bailey went on to sign a Synchronization deal, Music licensing, and Background music deal for Kajian music China. Paul attended Midem’s Global Sync & Roundtable Summit where he got to connect with the world’s top Music Supervisors for his catalog and recently signed a Licensing and Distribution deal with Sound Republica for Korean territories.
In addition, P Bailey also signed a worldwide deal with Independent Digital and has released 2 Albums, 1 single, and 1 EP in Korea exclusively, as well as 1 EP and single for the rest of the world. Currently, PCB Publishing has secured licensing in the Indie movie “Trash Dance” – a documentary released at the South by Southwest Conference 2012.
Paul has also secured placement on various US TV shows for sync licensing. He has released his long-awaited Cd “Story” on Global Soul Group to all digital platforms and was the recipient of the Academia 2015 songwriting award for Best Funk/Hip hop.
My Black Is Beautiful is currently available on all streaming platforms with a colorful video on YouTube that perfectly captures the song’s unique message, as well as its essence.
