MARRAKECH, Morocco – Dec. 22, 2021 — In Marrakech we don’t say we are out of charge.
The city is going all green and providing free charge by using the power of the sun to the public.
Marrakech goes GREEN with GSHK Solar. The city of Marrakech in the cooperation with the Prefecture and under the leadership of the Wali has commenced a partnership with GSHK Solar in providing urban furniture equipped with solar panels, that can charge mobile devices wirelessly at no cost for all citizens and visitors. Across the city there will be smart benches, recycle bins and bus stops that will be rolled out across that will be fully equipped with solar panels that provides power to charge all mobile devices wirelessly or via USB.
There will be a total of thirty units installed across the city. The locations were approved by the Prefecture of Marrakech and GSHK Solar. We believe this is a great opportunity for Marrakech being a city that is leading the way in terms of green energy to display that is taking the first steps and converting the urbanization of the city from conventional to carbon free environment for the public.
