Children authors and self-empowerment advocates, Cheryl Brown and Joelle Bailey, announce the release of “Basic Table Manners For Children,” a book about dining etiquette for children
The duo of Cheryl Brown and Joelle Bailey recently took their pursuit of making the world a better place by grooming responsible adults one child at a time a notch higher following the release of their children’s book titled Basic Table Manners For Children.
“Joelle and I have been friends for many years. In 2004 we began our Basic table Manners for the entire family journey by using all our resources to produce a Basic Table Manners DVD. We were located in NY where we introduced the video to various schools, churches, and daycare centers. It was well received by all.” – Cheryl Brown. “This book will allow children to feel confident at a dinner table which ultimately will make their parents happy. They will take this life skill with them through every milestone.”
Children are described as future leaders. However, there are not enough resources particularly targeted at children in minority communities and their development. Consequently, Cheryl, a passionate educator has partnered with Joelle, a popular event planner and caterer, to teach children one of the very important yet seemingly neglected etiquettes – table manners.
Table manners remains one of the most important skills for individuals, irrespective of age or gender, particularly as it can be embarrassing not having the right dining etiquette especially at critical gatherings. A lot of business deals are made over a meal and dinners are often the best time to make a first impression. Consequently, it is imperative to learn basic table manners, which is why Cheryl and Joelle are looking to capture their attention and guide them with the release of Basic Table Manners For Children.
Basic Table Manners For Children teaches readers how to make the best possible first impression, covering different aspects of basic table manners dining, including sitting at dinner and using cutleries, ensuring they feel comfortable dining at home or at a fancy event.
The book was created based on the belief that “every child should be on the same playing field.” The release of the book is particularly timely and significant, considering the importance of table manners and the lack of resources to teach it to children in a way they can understand easily. Basic Table Manners For Children will set children up for future engagements, such as business meetings and other important events.
Basic Table Manners For Children was published in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic and launched virtually. The book is currently available in softcover and hardcover formats for readers across the globe.
Cheryl Brown and Joelle Bailey, who are co-owners and founders of “Etiquette Divas” and champions of the “Mind Your Manners” campaign, are continuing in their pursuit of teaching important etiquette skills; including offering classes and training in these areas that people struggle.
