For war torn Ukrainians, accommodation is on the way. For those looking desperately for accommodation around the war-struck Ukraine, a team of IT professionals in Romania have set up a website to search for rental flats and accommodation, and for Romanians to come to their aid by posting any vacancies they’d like to offer. The website, https://helphub.ro/en/ has been built in partnership with The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of România (CCIR), and can be accessed in Ukrainian, Romanian and English.
A humanitarian project, Helphub.ro is meant for refugees from Ukraine, and allows them to search for available accommodation on a map, or simply by browsing ads posted by Romanians. These are all FREE accommodations in the form of rooms, vacant flats or living spaces.
Romanians who wish to help Ukraine refugees, or those wishing to relocate, can post their ads on Helphub.ro, upload pictures of the living space, and add them to the map as well for easy location.
“More than ever, Romanians can once again show compassion and solidarity for the hundreds of thousands of refugees who need help. Women and children who put their valuables in their suitcases and ran away from the hell of the Russian Federation can be given urgent accommodation by using Helphub.ro,” says a team spokesperson.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of România (CCIR) has partnered with the IT team to give urgent assistance to people fleeing Ukraine and in search for a room to stay. They can now do so easily on Helphub.ro, a centralized place to post and search for free accommodation in Romania.
“It’s time to help our fellow human beings! Thank you!” says the team behind the project.
The war on Ukraine has left a deep wound on the region, with thousands fleeing their homes to find alternative places to live. The humanitarian crisis can be alleviated with the help of more and more people willing to offer their homes, rooms or living spaces for free, so as to give strength to the fight against tyrannical forces and alleviate suffering.
