Aaron’s African Adventure, a Children’s Book That Will Not Disappoint

You can always count on author Kelly James Martin to have a book related to an issue about feeling good about yourself. If you are looking for children’s books about being unique, this is a great book to start with. With its colourful illustrations, by his wife Judy, he shows that it’s not just okay, but it’s awesome to be unique!

Martin’s Aaron’s African Adventure navigates an adventure story set in the Safari land while teaching a lesson that every person is unique. Martin believes that God created all the many animals, each with its individual traits. So, too, are we each uniquely made by God. Every adult and every child, therefore, is special.

Aaron’s African Adventure is one of the most-read children’s books that will not disappoint. The illustrations are so fun, the text is zippy and kids of every age will love it from start to finish. The book looks at a different developmental difference, defying expectations and self-esteem. Martin writes about teaching kids that to be yourself is something to celebrate. The message though is about being your own person. A powerful one for kids today.

About the Author

Judy, my wife and my illustrator, has a special way with children. She knows how to engage them and make them feel good about themselves. We have six grandchildren who are our special ones, as well as Max the dog and Eby the cat. I spent many years flying airplanes and have been to more than 40 countries, including Africa. Having that opportunity to meet people of many backgrounds, I gained a perspective of different cultures. There are wonderful people in all parts of our world.
